Removal of Tributes

Although a highly emotive task, and one that the Bunbury Cemetery Board has no satisfaction in performing, all tributes will wither and weather.

It is necessary for BCB staff to remove tributes that have weathered and withered and not following the guidelines, to perform routine maintenance. This ensures the grounds are safely maintained to a high standard that enables the entire community to visit memorial grounds and cemeteries which are safe and tidy.

Items removed by BCB staff may be retrieved from the collection bays at each site.

The BCB reserves the right to dispose of items 4 weeks after being removed.

Please note that tributes removed by wind and birds cannot usually be returned to its place of origin

The Bunbury Cemetery Board is unable to accept responsibility for stolen, damaged or vandalised tributes and headstones

Please Don’t Litter

Bins have been provided in all sections of the Cemeteries and Memorial Gardens.

We ask for your assistance in removing withered or weathered tributes and placing them in the rubbish bins provided.

Please remove wrapping and rubber bands from floral arrangements before they are left as a tribute
